Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with the overall design and business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging open communication and idea sharing.
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company’s brand identity and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to ensure cohesive design solutions.
- Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design project lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Allocate design tasks and resources efficiently, balancing workload and priorities within the team.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Lead by example by creating high-quality and impactful designs, contributing to the team’s creative output.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on team members’ designs to maintain consistency and elevate design quality.
- Ensure all design deliverables are well-crafted, user-centered, and align with the project’s objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand design requirements, gather feedback, and address concerns.
- Present design concepts and solutions clearly and persuasively to both team members and stakeholders.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and create opportunities for skill development, training, and growth.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development among team members to enhance their design capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (10 years) as a senior designer or similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of design work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing design teams.
- In-depth understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and design thinking methodologies.
- Strong project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas clearly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of design trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies.
